Now that we have just about got our breath back we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all those who in ways both great and small participated and supported the International Blacksmithing Festival. With the help of the many enthusiastic and dedicated helpers we firmly believe that we delivered an event that will rank among the best blacksmithing get-togethers that this country has seen.

To all those Demonstrators, Competitors, Blacksmiths, Judges, Stewards, Sponsors and Crew who gave their valuable time and energies we are forever in your debt and hope that all that visited Westpoint had an educational and enjoyable few days. There are far too many individuals and organisations to name but you know who you are and you can be sure that your support will not be forgotten – THANK YOU!

The big disappointment was the low public turn-out. In spite of wide advertising we did not attract the expected numbers. Although disappointing, we have learned important lessons and the many words of praise and encouragement gives us heart and makes our efforts worthwhile.

As you may know we have taken a serious financial ‘hit’ in getting the IBF together. In order to try and recoup some of our losses we would really appreciate your help if you can by clicking on the ‘DONATE’ button.
